I live in Christchurch but I have often contemplated moving. I have often thought it may be nice to live in Akaroa as it is a nice little place, quiet and away from the hussle and bussle of a big city. Have other people contemplated a move and if so where would they like to move too. I may have to wait until i am retired as there would be little job prospects in Akaroa.

In 1982 I looked at my options. They were not good so I moved to South Australia.
I liked at TEMUKA a small town not far from the sea.
So as it happens I bough a house on the beach front by the Post Office and the Police Station. In a very small once post town. Property was worth very little say a run down house $2,000 and there were dozens of them in those days.
i then bought a house in the country 3klm away from the sea.
Then I found JOHN DENVER singing Take me home country round which fitted nicely.
But I think you must be retired as work is not possible in these situations.

We moved from Tauranga, 10 years ago, to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living, and have never regretted it. _________________ Let a smile be your umbrella.
